A 14  The stud book gives the pedigree of Webb's Shepherdess as dam x *Traveller - *Whittington.  The crosses were probably reversed as *Traveller covered 1751-61, *Whittington 1760-65.  There is no evidence in existing records of an extension to the *Babraham-mare, cited as the taproot of A 14.  There is, however, a similarity to the pedigree of Page's Nancy Dawson.  If the name Jenny Cameron reflects an ancestress, there may be truth to the "myth" that *Jenny Cameron had a filly by *Traveller, and that both Shepherdess and Nancy Dawson belong to Family 40.
