| I had the pleasure of meeting the band when they stopped in Calgary, Alberta, Canada during the Bananas Tour, September 13, 2004. Ian Paice hosted a drum clinic at a local music store, so I had a bit more time to chat, and was able to bring my LARGE DP poster for a autograph. I also got him to sign my Deep Purple-In Rock album |

I got the chance to meet him again after his gig with his solo project band, The Ian Gillan Band. They played at Cowboys Bar in Calgary on Sept 5, 2006. |
